Don't worry! Because today we show you how to clean your oven in a very simple way!

First we need know what type of oven we have. Does it have automatic cleaning system? Is it a regular oven?

With automatic cleaning system: When you have this system you need to be very careful with the supplies you use, because if you use a very abrasive product it will remove the protective coating the oven has which is specially designed to keep the warmth.

Without automatic cleaning system: We can use traditional methods, such as the way we will show you below

Our method can be used for both systems, just keep in mind not to use super abrasive sponge.

What you need

Make a soft, paste with baking soda, dish soap and a bit of water to create a smooth paste. Then apply to all surfaces.

The walls of the oven

Spread the paste on the base of your oven and don't forget the side of the oven too! Let it soak for about 10-20 minutes. Then remove with the help of a sponge.

The oven door 

This is the hard part as we don't want to scratch the glass on your oven door. So let the mix soak for a bit longer between 20-30 minutes. Then remove and rinse the door with a wet sponge to make it easier to remove the paste.

Racks and trays

These items often make us suffer. A great and easy way to clean it is soaking it in hot boiling water. Now since the sink might be too small and they won't fit, you can soak them in your bathtub! Just make sure you put a towel or a big cloth under so they don't scratch the surface of your tub.

Place the racks over the towel or cloth, add dishwasher detergent and add hot boiling water. Let it soak for 30 to 60 minutes and scrub with a sponge. Rinse, dry and put back in the oven!
