Skin care specialists recommend to clean your makeup brushes frequently, everyday in fact. We all know that it is very hard to do it that frequently, but we can keep it up and do it weekly or even every two weeks would be great! 

There are special products to clean them, but today we want to show you how you can do it with some items you may already have at home.

1- The ingredients

You will need three very simple ingredients

- Antibacterial dish soap

- Olive oil or hair conditioner

- Exfoliant Gloves

2- The mix

Mix the antibacterial dish soap with a little olive oil. The reason for using olive oil is to soften the bristles of the brushes. You can replace the olive oil for hair conditioner.

3- The process

- Spread the mix on your brushes

- Put your exfoliating glove on one hand and start rubbing in circular motion making sure you get to the center of your brush where there's lots of hidden make up. You will notice the make up starts loosen up very quickly

- Rinse with warm water and press in the middle to ensure make up is gone

- To dry, press with a clean cloth or paper towel

- Reshape and lay them on 45 degree angle so water doesn't go into the handle. You can also hang them on your towel rack

Bonus tip:

To disinfect the handle clean with alcohol and a soft cloth
