There are many products on the market that help us keep our stainless steel appliances clean. However, as you know, MB Green loves to use natural ingredients and make our own products whenever we can, plus, those offered on the market are usually very expensive. Another reason why we prefer to use this DIY method is because most of these ready-to-use stainless steel cleansers are usually very oily, therefore our appliances tend to get dirty very easily.

Today, in addition to showing you two ways to create a stainless steel cleanser, we will teach you the proper way to clean your stainless steel surfaces to avoid streaks!

One cleanser is for everyday use and the other one is to exfoliate your appliances when they need a deeper cleaning.

Daily cleaning

1. Make a mixture of equal parts of water and vinegar, add few drops of dish soap. Mix it in a spray bottle and our mixture is ready. As simple as that!

2. Spray the mix on a cloth and apply it to your appliance.

3. The proper way is go in the same direction of the grain of your appliances, these are represented in lines that can be horizontal or vertical. Never go on opposite direction, otherwise it will leave streaks.

4. Dry it immediately! It is very important that you use a dry cloth to dry it right away and not let it dry itself because these will make stains.

Exfoliating cleaning

1. Use the same mixture of equal parts of water and vinegar and dish soap, and you will also add baking soda to the cleaning cloth. Adding baking soda will make a kind of paste which is hard enough to remove stains and finger prints, yet gentle enough on delicate surfaces.

2. Clean with the paste in the same direction of the grain of your appliances.

3. This will probably leave baking soda powder on the surface, so with a damp cloth remove the excess powder that is on the surface.

4. Then, with dry/clean cloth dry the surface. Remember that the secret is never to let it dry on its own, you must dry it with a cloth.

With these simple tips you can keep your stainless steel appliances flawless!
