Safety first

First, unplug the water dispenser for safety reasons.
Once unplugged, remove the water bottle/container and also remove water that may have been inside the dispenser, around the pipes etc.

Once empty, remove the cover that it may have. And all kinds of big parts that can be removed.

Once all parts are removed, check the interior where it is likely to have plastic and/or aluminum pieces that need to be cleaned.

How to clean it?
To clean the inside parts mix warm water, a little dish soap, and half a cup of white distilled vinegar in a container. Place all pieces inside and let them soak for a few minutes.

The interior of the dispenser will be cleaned as follows:

Clean the internal walls with the soft side of a sponge. Make sure you clean all crevices such as connectors or small non-removable parts with a toothbrush or a q-tip.

Once the inside is clean make the following mix:

- 3 cups of hot water

- ¼ cup vinegar

Pour this mix inside the dispenser and leave it soaking for 10 minutes. In the meantime make sure interior walls are clean.
After 10 minutes of soaking drain the water through the taps.

Once all the soaking water has been drained, pour hot water (this time just hot water, not vinegar) to remove the smell of vinegar, and drain it again.
After this, once the dispenser is impeccable inside, place pieces back in their original position.

And the external cleaning ?
To clean the outside area use a microfiber cloth with an all purpose cleaner and wipe down the surface. Use a toothbrush for a more detailed cleaning.
The water tray should be removed to clean. If it's very dirty or moldy soak it in warm water, dish soap and vinegar for about 10 minutes.
To clean the back side, remove dust with a vacuum and use the help of a painter brush for small areas. Wipe down with a damp cloth.
